AFCON 2027 tickets are among the most searched topics for the Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda tournament and official sales have not opened yet.
Based on how CAF sold tickets for AFCON 2025 in Morocco and previous tournaments, we know exactly how the process works, what prices to expect, which matches will sell out fastest and what you need to do right now. This is your complete guide.
Are AFCON 2027 Tickets on Sale Yet?
No — as of June 2026, CAF has not opened the official ticketing portal for AFCON 2027. Based on previous tournaments, ticket sales typically open 8 to 12 months before the tournament. With AFCON 2027 kicking off on 19 June 2027, the earliest realistic sale date is August to October 2026.
The only way to guarantee you hear the moment tickets go on sale:
- Bookmark the official portal: tickets.cafonline.com
- Follow CAF’s official Twitter/X account — @CAF_Online
- Bookmark this page — we update it the moment CAF confirms sale dates
Where to Buy — Official Channel Only
There is one legitimate place to buy AFCON 2027 tickets — the CAF official ticketing portal at tickets.cafonline.com. Any website selling AFCON 2027 tickets before CAF opens official sales is fraudulent. No exceptions.
After the initial sale, secondary market platforms may have tickets available once official CAF channels sell out — but prices will be significantly higher than face value. Only use platforms with verified buyer protection policies and check seller guarantees carefully before purchasing.
Expected Ticket Prices
CAF has not announced official AFCON 2027 prices. Based on AFCON 2025 pricing in Morocco — where group stage tickets started at around $11 USD and finals reached $65 USD for top category — and adjusting for the East African context, here is what fans can realistically expect:
| Stage | Category 3 (Standard) | Category 2 (Mid) | Category 1 (Premium) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group Stage | $10–15 USD | $20–30 USD | $35–50 USD |
| Round of 16 | $15–20 USD | $30–40 USD | $50–70 USD |
| Quarter-finals | $20–30 USD | $40–55 USD | $65–90 USD |
| Semi-finals | $25–35 USD | $50–65 USD | $75–100 USD |
| Final | $35–50 USD | $65–85 USD | $100–130 USD |
Estimates based on AFCON 2025 Morocco pricing. Official AFCON 2027 prices will be confirmed by CAF. East African pricing may be lower to reflect local purchasing power.
Which Matches Will Sell Out Fastest
Not all AFCON 2027 tickets are equal in demand. Based on the groups and host city assignments, these are the matches that will disappear within hours of going on sale:
Tanzania Home Matches — Hardest Tickets in the Tournament
Tanzania Taifa Stars are in Group L alongside Nigeria, Algeria and Madagascar. All three group stage matches are played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam — 60,000 capacity, Tanzania’s largest venue and the tournament flagship. Local demand will be extraordinary. This is Tanzania’s first AFCON as hosts. Book the moment sales open.
Tanzania group stage fixtures:
- Tanzania vs Algeria — 20 June 2027, 20:00 EAT, Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, DSM
- Tanzania vs Nigeria — 24 June 2027, 17:00 EAT, Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, DSM
- Tanzania vs Madagascar — 28 June 2027, 20:00 EAT, Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, DSM

Nigeria Matches — High Demand from Travelling Fans
Nigeria’s Super Eagles consistently bring the largest travelling support of any African nation. Nigeria matches in Tanzania will see enormous demand from Nigerian fans flying in — expect Group L fixtures to sell out extremely fast from both sides.
Algeria Matches — Passionate Travelling Support
Algeria qualified automatically as tournament favourites and bring one of the most passionate fan bases in African football. Tanzania vs Algeria on opening weekend will be one of the most sought-after tickets in the group stage.
Knockout Stage Matches at Mkapa
Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam is confirmed as a knockout stage venue. If Tanzania progress from Group L, their round of 16 and quarter-final matches at Mkapa will be essentially impossible to get through official channels. Buy group stage tickets as your insurance.
Matches in Arusha and Zanzibar
AFCON 2027 matches are spread across four venues in three cities. For fans combining football with tourism — and in Tanzania that combination is genuinely world-class — Arusha and Zanzibar matches offer a slightly easier ticket opportunity than the DSM fixtures.
- Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium, Arusha — 30,000 capacity, group stage matches, spectacular Mount Meru backdrop
- Amaan Stadium, Zanzibar City — 15,000 capacity, renovated for AFCON 2027, historic Stone Town setting
- Maisara Sports Complex, Zanzibar — 25,000 capacity, brand new build, first major sports facility on Zanzibar Island

How CAF Sells Tickets — The Process
Phase 1 — Visa Cardholder Pre-sale
CAF’s partnership with Visa gives Visa cardholders exclusive early access — typically a 48 to 72 hour window before general sale. For AFCON 2025 in Morocco there were two Visa pre-sale windows. If you have a Visa card, this is your best chance at high-demand matches. Have your card registered on the CAF portal before the pre-sale opens.
Phase 2 — General Public Sale
All payment methods accepted. Tanzania home matches, Nigeria fixtures and any semi-final will sell out within hours — sometimes within minutes. Have your CAF account set up, payment details saved and be ready at the exact moment the sale opens.
Phase 3 — Secondary Market
For sold-out matches, secondary platforms enter the picture. Expect 2x to 5x face value for Tanzania home matches and knockout rounds. Only use platforms with verified buyer protection.
Register Your CAF Account Now
Do this today even though tickets are not yet on sale:
- Go to tickets.cafonline.com
- Create an account with your email address
- Complete your profile with full name and passport details exactly as they appear on your passport — AFCON tickets are sometimes name-specific
- Add a Visa card as your payment method for pre-sale access
- Turn on all email notifications from CAF
Having your account set up in advance means when the sale opens you are buying tickets — not registering — while they disappear.
Avoid Touts and Fake Tickets
- Never buy from individuals on social media — Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter/X. No exceptions.
- Never pay by bank transfer to an individual — no buyer protection, no recourse if tickets are fake
- Never buy from any website before CAF opens official sales — if CAF has not opened the portal, no one else has legitimate tickets
- Avoid stadium touts on match day — counterfeit tickets are common at major tournaments
- If a price seems too good it is a scam — Tanzania vs Nigeria tickets will not be going cheap anywhere
Planning Around Your Tickets
If you are flying to Tanzania specifically for AFCON 2027, get your ticket sequence right:
- Secure your tickets first — the moment official sales open
- Book flights and accommodation once matches are confirmed
- Apply for your Tanzania eVisa with dates confirmed — apply at least 3 to 4 weeks before travel
Do not book non-refundable flights before you have tickets for the specific matches you want to attend. Tanzania matches will sell out — plan accordingly.
