A total of 54 CAF member associations entered qualification for 28 spots in the final tournament. Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda qualify automatically as co-hosts. The group stage draw took place on 13 January 2026 β€” qualifying runs through to November 2026.

πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ Tanzania are already qualified β€” as co-hosts alongside Kenya πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ and Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬, the Taifa Stars have an automatic berth. The remaining 25 spots are decided through qualifying.
