Quick answer: Where are Bafana Bafana in AFCON 2027 qualifying?
South Africa are top of Group D with 6 points from 2 games after beating Guinea 2β1 and Eritrea 5β0. Co-hosts Kenya are already qualified, so only one of South Africa, Guinea and Eritrea goes to AFCON 2027, and Bafana currently hold that place with a +6 goal difference. Their next games are against Kenya in November 2026.

What Bafana need to qualify
Kenya qualify automatically as co-hosts, so Group D sends only one other team to AFCON 2027: the highest-placed of South Africa, Guinea and Eritrea. With 6 points, a +6 goal difference and a win already banked over Guinea, Bafana are in a strong position. Their games against Kenya still count towards South Africa’s points total, even though Kenya are already through.
